What we collect

Using the calculator doesn't require any personal information: no account, no name, no email. The result itself is worked out entirely inside your browser: your age range, height, income and other filter choices are never sent to us to be calculated.

We do record which filters get used, as anonymous usage data, so we can see what people are actually looking for and which parts of the tool matter. That record contains your filter choices and nothing that identifies you.

If you purchase the Global Dream Partner Report, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your email address and payment details at checkout. We never see or store your card number. Stripe handles that directly. We do receive and store your email address and a record of the purchase so we can grant and restore access to your report.

How we use it

• To unlock and re-open your Global Dream Partner Report on request, without requiring an account or password.
• To email you a link back to your report (sent via our email provider, Resend) after purchase, or if you ask us to resend it.
• To keep basic records of purchases for accounting and support purposes.

We don't sell your information, and we don't use your email for marketing unless you separately opt in somewhere else (like following us on social media).

Counting each person once

People often run the calculator several times in a sitting, nudging one filter to see what changes. If every one of those counted separately, our usage data would say far more about a handful of people who kept pressing the button than about everyone else.

So your browser stores a random ID (a string of characters we generate at random, not derived from anything about you or your device) purely so we can tell “this person again” from “someone new.” Only your first set of filter choices is recorded as a real answer; everything you try after that is treated as browsing, not a new opinion. If you come back six months or more later, that counts as a fresh answer, since by then it genuinely may be one.

This ID isn't tied to your name, email, or purchase, and it can't be used to identify you. Clearing your browser's site data for outofpocket.tv removes it, and the next answer you give simply reads as a new person's.

Cookies and local storage

Your browser's local storage remembers whether you've unlocked the report, so you don't have to purchase it again on the same device. This is stored on your device, not shared with us beyond the original purchase record. It also holds the anonymous ID described above.

This site displays ads through Google AdSense, which may use cookies to show relevant ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can learn more about how Google uses this data, and manage your ad preferences, in Google's own privacy policy.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: how many people visit, where they arrive from, which filters get chosen, and how many go on to buy the report. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and is subject to Google's privacy policy. We also use Vercel's privacy-friendly analytics for overall traffic, which doesn't use tracking cookies or collect personal information.

Who we share data with

Only the service providers we use to run this site: Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Google Analytics (usage measurement), and our hosting/database providers (Vercel and Neon). Each only receives what they need to do their job. For example, Resend only sees the email address and access link needed to send you a message.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete your email address and purchase record at any time by emailing outofpocketinterviews@gmail.com. Note that this will also remove your ability to restore access to a previously purchased report.

Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version.
